highlights
went abroad for the first time in my life that too alone
understood how hard it is to live like an adult
finished engineering and (almost) graduated from mit manipal
got an admit for my masters from my "dream university"
January 2024
spent the new years in kalga, himachal with two of my oldest friends aswin and maitrey (survived in -7 °C)
spent a lot of time stressing on the applications for my masters and writing SOPs and reiterating on them
enjoying delhi winters in the lodhi gardens and trying to find the best chholle bhature in delhi
getting ready for my flight to melbourne, and being nervous at the same time
February 2024
found a place to live in melbourne (read more about it here)
maitrey came to visit me from canberra
got to know about the kebab culture in melbourne (and i'm a fan of those)
made a list of things to buy before i leave melbourne for my family (it helped me go to work regularly)
March 2024
learned how to effectively manage groceries and cooked food
bought the NB574 shoes for myself (which i wanted since a long time)
got admitted into my dream university for masters which i was dreaming since my 2nd year of undergrad
spent a lot of time in the library working on the project (high on caffeine)
April 2024
booked the return flight back to delhi and was literally counting days
got a mullet hair cut, which i was looking for since a long time. Saw how professional and well behaved the hairdressers are in melbourne
ticked off the first two things off my list, of things to do before leaving melbourne
May 2024
ticked off all the items from the list and left melbourne (⊃。•́‿•̀。)⊃
attended cousin's wedding in pune and met everyone from my father's side of the family
met internet friends after a long time and went to india gate (classic)
voted for the first time in my life after standing in the queue for 3 hours in the delhi heat (it's may)
June 2024
attended boiler room's set in gurgaon (kinda fun kinda boring)
learned the perfect recipe for making fried chicken
went to devan's coffee in lodhi colony and noticed they've written to not post on social media about their cafe's presence
bought a new pair of crocs which i'm going to be using atleast for 3 years (previous pair lasted 2.5 years )
July 2024
went to manipal to present my work which i did in melbourne (bachelor's thesis)
one last time in manipal and here's a short video of things which we did (thanks to vivek's handycam)
attended an event hosted by AOH with ayushmaan and akshay bhai
visited Urbancompany's HQ in gurgaon for an interview which i didn't end up getting selected but it was a very memorable experience
August 2024
embracing my coffee addiction and figuring out the perfect pourover recipe
old friend aditya sharma visited delhi from chandigarh, met school friends too
went to the famous ghazipur flower mandi in delhi where you get the most exquisite wholesale flower catalog and also discovered that nagpal in Amar Colony has earned the top spot for the best Cholle Bhature on my personal list
after a very long consideration and self doubt i posted about Sillywhatifs which got 8000+ impressions (collectively) on twt and linkedin
September 2024
visiting lodhi garden almost bi-weekly for a jog/walk because it's too humid in delhi
made the almost perfect chicken popcorn, which tasted 90% like kfc's (getting there to 100%)
met school friends after a long time, visited modern art gallery near india gate
attended tanishq's live concert at depot48 in gk, listen to their banger song
October 2024
ayushmaan got a job (and went to bangalore :/ ) and got a new camera for himself
again amazed & baffled by the huge tech offices in gurgaon
tried gottea for the first time in deer park and it was actually good (didn't like the boba beans tho, but tea was amazing)
upgraded my room's furniture and got a new table, had to hunt down the best sheesham furniture shop in kirti nagar because mom wasn't settling for the plywood furniture.
November 2024
graduated and attended the convocation in manipal
friends from australia came to visit india, took them to genre in defence colony and made them try cholle bhature
went to kalga (himachal) alone to celebrate my 22, it deserves another blog
setup a push pin board on the wall, 10/10 would definitely recommend it.
